| The New York Business Development Corp., a privately-owned financial organization that provides financing to help small businesses expand in New York state, increased its loan disbursements by 16.7 percent to $103 million for fiscal year 2006 compared to fiscal year 2005, the Albany-based company reported.
The funds were used to create or retain 2,887 jobs statewide in 2006, the NYBDC said. In Westchester, 13 loans totalling $7.4 million created or retained 196 jobs, it said. Recipients include: Rose Cleaners of KDMD Inc. in White Plains, Pro Tile Distributors Inc. in Mount Vernon, Edu Tek Limited in Mamaroneck, Sound Associates Inc. in Yonkers and 165 Main Street Deli Inc. in Mt. Kisco.
